Custom Steel Workboat Builder, Barges & Dockside Repair

Edward Maritime builds and repairs steel workboats and barges along the I-10 Gulf Coast, providing reliable new construction, vessel repairs, and dockside services for commercial marine operators throughout the region.

Building Is What We Do

Highlighting vessel preparation standards achieved

CUSTOM WORKBOATS

We specialize in heavy steel outfitting for custom workboats built to handle the toughest marine conditions. Every vessel is 100% blasted and coated with pre‑construction primer to protect against corrosion and extend service life.

Our weld procedures focus on strength and safety. All center weld seams are back gouged, joints are fully welded, and every corner is 100% corner welded, no lap plate here, so your vessel is built to perform and built to last.

MECHANICAL

Our mechanical systems are designed around real workboat demands. We engineer and install hydraulic power packs, piping, and controls to deliver smooth, reliable crane operation, even under heavy, repetitive loads in harsh marine conditions.

When setting cranes on workboats, we focus on structure, safety, and service access. From foundation design and reinforcement to hose routing and control placement, every detail is planned so your crew can lift, move, and work with confidence every day.

Delivery Satisfaction

Delivering a finished vessel to our clients is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. Every boat represents months of planning, hard work, and teamwork coming together at the dock.

Effort plays a key role in boat building, and we love to show the care that goes into each and every vessel. Whether it’s a new client or a returning partner, we treat every delivery like it’s our most important one.

What We do

Our Projects

We bring shipbuilding practices and workboat construction together with a strong focus on attention to detail. From piping runs to structural systems, every weld, bracket, and penetration is planned so the boat is safe, serviceable, and ready for real‑world work.

Each boat we build is unique and custom to the client. We listen to how you operate, where you work, and what you need the vessel to do, then design and build around that—so your boat fits your crew, your gear, and your jobs.

Our Clients

We believe each client is a long term partnership
