ARC GOUGE
Eighty percent of our vessels are classified as uninspected, yet we strive to exceed client expectations. Our dedicated team ensures complete penetration on deck and bottom hull weld seams for maximum strength. While some may opt for a quick grinder groove, we believe in maintaining the same standards for uninspected vessels as for inspected ones.
This showcases our commitment to doing things the right way.

STEP 1: FIT
We begin by fitting the main deck and lower hull plates. Given the tightness of the seam, achieving proper penetration presents a significant challenge.

STEP 2: ARC GOUGE
Once the deck is fully completed, the interior of the hull will be welded. After achieving welding on the inside of the hull we will return to the upper deck and the bottom shell to initiate the arc gouging process. This will create a 5/16 groove, ensuring full penetration.

STEP 3: CLEAN
After completing the ARC gouge, we will move forward with the preparation and cleaning process. This will involve ensuring that all debris has been thoroughly removed.

STEP 4: WELD
The welding process will begin once the ARC gouging seam is meticulously cleaned and properly prepared. This ensures that the upper and lower weld seams are strong and, resulting in a solid joint.
